Meramia is an Alibaba Cloud channel partner. We provision, run and support Alibaba Cloud infrastructure for enterprises in the UAE and GCC, under a contract issued in the UAE.

What we provide

Five services.

Compute and storage

Elastic Compute Service and storage in the Alibaba Cloud UAE (Dubai) region, across both availability zones.

GPU capacity

Dedicated GPU instances for model training and inference, provisioned per workload.

Platform for AI

Training, tuning and model serving on in-region compute.

Managed operations

Patching, backups, capacity review and incident response, with a named owner and an agreed response time.

Migration

Dependency mapping, a sequenced move plan, and execution with a rehearsed rollback.

Alibaba Cloud Model Studio, the managed model service, runs in Beijing, Singapore, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Hong Kong and US Virginia. It is not deployed in the UAE. Where a workload has to stay in the country, we self-host open models on in-region GPU instead.

Data residency

Data stays in the UAE.

Alibaba Cloud opened its first Middle East region in Dubai in 2016 and a second Dubai data centre in October 2025 (Alibaba Cloud; UAE Government Media Office). Storage and systems of record stay in that region. Where a workload has to reach outside it, we document the path. Access is by per-workload role with an audit trail, which is what the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) asks a controller to show.

Data residency

Requests arrive from the enterprise edge over a private link and terminate in the Dubai availability zones. Storage stays there. Anything to the right of the dashed line has left the country.

Commercial terms

Contracted in the UAE.

Contracts and invoices are issued by Meramia in the UAE, in AED. Saudi entities can be invoiced in SAR. Partner pricing applies where the engagement qualifies. Spend is reviewed monthly against measured usage, and support escalates from Meramia to Alibaba Cloud through a defined path.
